Resignificando la memoria histórica de la mujer payanesa : Relatos de vida, desde el grupo Adulto Mayor María Cano

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene su campo de acción en el Grupo Adulto Mayor María Cano de la ciudad de Popayán, conformado por 45 mujeres donde se cuenta con la participación de trece (13) de ellas en edades de 60 a 88 años. Las adultas mayores que pertenecen a este grupo son mujeres que han vivenciado muy de cerca grandes problemáticas que marcaron la historia de Colombia y de Popayán específicamente, algunas han sido víctimas del conflicto armado y del desplazamiento forzado, otras han sido lideresas en procesos comunitarios, se han refugiado en el arte como expresión de sentimientos, otras desde sus hogares han aportado a la formación de sus familias. Desde hace más de 35 años se reúnen en el Polideportivo del Barrio La Esmeralda, un sector muy reconocido en la ciudad de Popayán con el fin de realizar actividades direccionadas y que les permite salir de las rutinas que viven a diario. Después de varias observaciones realizadas y contando con la opinión de las adultas mayores, se concluye que es indispensable crear un espacio que les permita reconocerse como parte fundamental de este grupo, que a través del diálogo se pueda generar interacciones, reconocimientos y se teja desde la colectividad o comunalidad de los relatos, escenarios para la recuperación de la memoria histórica desde sus vivencias a nivel social, político, educativo que han trazado la historia del país.

This research has its field of action in the Maria Cano Senior Adult Group, in the city of Popayan, made up of 45 women, but where there is the participation of thirteen (13) of them in the ages corresponding to 60-88 years. The older adults who belong to this group are women who have closely experienced major problems that have marked the history of Colombia and Popayan specifically. Some have been victims of the armed conflict and forced displacement, others have been leaders in community processes., some have taken refuge in art as an expression of feelings, and others from their homes have contributed to the formation of their families. For more than 35 years they have met at the “La Esmeralda” Neighborhood Sports Center, a highly recognized sector in the city of Popayan, in order to carry out targeted activities that allow them to get out of the routines they live daily. After several observations made, and taking into account the opinion of the older adults, it is concluded that it is essential to create a space that allows them to recognize themselves as a fundamental part of this group and that through dialogue they generate interaction and visualize themselves through the look of the other. It is from this that the idea of creating a process of recovery of historical memory through life stories arises, since it allows us to recognize different views and opinions regarding situations, social, political, educational, among others, which determine the history of a country.
