La presente investigación titulada “Asesinato de líderes sociales y defensores de derechos humanos a partir del Acuerdo de Paz. Cauca, 2016-2022”, plantea como objetivo principal analizar el asesinato de líderes sociales y defensores de derechos humanos en el Cauca durante el periodo 2016-2022 a partir del Acuerdo de Paz, mediante una revisión documental que permita identificar factores asociados. Realizado bajo la metodología de investigación cualitativa, seguido del diseño de investigación hermenéutico mediante la técnica de recolección de información de análisis documental, se logra concluir que existe una disminución del 47% en los asesinatos de líderes sociales entre 2018 y 2019 en el Cauca. A pesar de las medidas gubernamentales, los líderes comunales son los más afectados (41.2%), evidenciando desafíos en la implementación del Acuerdo de Paz. La estigmatización de estas comunidades y la falta de interés de las élites refuerzan la necesidad de un enfoque integral para abordar las complejas dinámicas que perpetúan la violencia sociopolítica.
The present research titled "Murder of social leaders and human rights defenders following the peace agreement. Cauca, 2016-2022" has the main objective of analyzing the murder of social leaders and human rights defenders in the Cauca region during the period from 2016 to 2022, based on the peace agreement through a documentary review that allows the identification of associated factors. Conducted under a qualitative research methodology, followed by a hermeneutic research design using documentary analysis information collection technique, it is concluded that there is a 47% decrease in the murders of social leaders between 2018 and 2019 in the Cauca. Despite government measures, community leaders are the most affected (41.2%), highlighting the challenges in implementing the peace agreement. The stigmatization of these communities and the lack of interest from elites reinforce the need for a comprehensive approach to address the complex dynamics that perpetuate sociopolitical violence.
