Resumen:
The objective of this project was to describe the influence of VLO in the strengthening of lexical competence in fourth-grade students of the Don Bosco Educational Institution based on the tourist tour of the Cali Zoo; for this, a qualitative approach was used, supported by the observation, which, through different research techniques such as the survey and the Initial and Final Approach, allowed researchers to demonstrate both the context and the needs of the population to work, and the effectiveness of the application of the VLO, in relation to the development of the lexicon of the students. Likewise, these virtual learning tools were presented as an innovative and effective option to address the needs identified. Finally, the analysis of results is presented after developing the methodological process, leading to the conclusions of the study.
