Nivel de estrés en las madres de recién nacidos hospitalizados en la UCIN del hospital universitario San José de Popayán, 2012

Abstract

La madres de los recién nacidos hospitalizados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatal del Hospital Universitario San José de Popayán, presenta diferentes niveles de estrés que han generado estados alterados de tensión y ansiedad al enfrentarse a situaciones internas relacionadas con: Aspectos y sonidos, comportamiento del recién nacido, comportamiento con el personal y comunicación del personal. El objetivo del presente trabajo de grado, se enfoca en determinar el nivel de estrés de las madres de los recién nacidos hospitalizados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatal del Hospital Universitario San José de Popayán durante el mes de Marzo del 2012. El tipo de estudio aplicado correspondió al descriptivo de corte transversal, participaron 23 madres durante el mes de Marzo de 2012, en la Unidad de Cuidado Intensivo Neonatal del Hospital en mención. La muestra realizada fue a 23 madres de los recién nacidos hospitalizados, dio respuesta al propósito de la investigación, por lo cual se aplicaron los instrumentos: Escala de Estrés Maternal, que mide el nivel de estrés (Margaret Miles) y el cuestionario de antecedentes biosociodemográficos de las madres y características de los recién nacidos. Según la Escala de Margaret Miles, se encontró que la mayor frecuencia en los niveles de estrés de las madres de los recién nacidos, fueron clasificados como muy estresantes, en los ítems de ambiente y sonidos con un 56. % (13), seguido de comunicación con el personal de salud con un 52.3%(12).2. La frecuencia del nivel extremadamente estresante se encontró en los ítems ambiente y sonidos en un 24%(6) seguido del de comunicación con el personal de salud con un 21.7%(5).

The Mothers of the newborn children hospitalized in the Unit of Intensive care UCIN of the University Hospital Popayán's San Jose, presents different levels of stress that have generated upset conditions of tension and anxiety on having faced internal situations related with: Aspects and sounds, behavior of the newborn child, behavior with the personnel and Communication of the personnel. The aim of the present work of degree, it focuses in determining the level of stress of the mothers of the newborn children hospitalized in the Unit of Intensive care UCIN, of the University Hospital Popayán's San Jose during March, 2012. The Type of applied study corresponded to the descriptive one of transverse court, 23 mothers took part during March, 2012, in the UCIN of the Hospital in mention. The realized sample went to 23 mothers of the hospitalized newborn children, gave response to the intention of the investigation, by which the instruments were applied: Scale of Maternal Stress, which measures the level of stress (Margaret Miles) and the questionnaire of precedents biosociodemográficos of the mothers and characteristics of the newborn children. According to Margaret Miles's Scale, one found that the major frequency in the levels of stress of the mothers of the newborn children, they were classified like very sressful, in the articles of environment and sounds with 56. % (13), followed of communication with the personnel of health with 52.3 % (12.2). The frequency of the extremely sressful level met in the articles environment and sounds in 24 % followed (6) by that of communication the personnel of health 21.7 % (5).
