dc.description.abstract The present work describes the construction of a myoelectric trainer from a standard set of interfaces, that is, to develop the trainer implementing the interfaces previously established in a global architecture hardware-software for hand-held prosthetic devices. The objectives are: to facilitate the adaptation of a myoelectric prosthesis for hand amputees through training prior to the handling of the prosthesis and that, in turn, this trainer is a modular development that allows the reuse and integration of different research results related to devices of this type. For suggestions of professionals in physiotherapy Integral Rehabilitation Center of Colombia, CIREC, the coach is made up of a virtual human-like hand and a video game which are controllable from the myoelectric signals generated by the patient. The system has been tested on five people without amputation, who have done a successful training getting control of the video game and the opening and closing of the hand. en_US
