Una canción : Una oportunidad para aprender inglés

Abstract

Este trabajo consiste en fortalecer las habilidades de escuchar y hablar con el uso de las letras de las canciones del género Pop-rock en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje del inglés como lengua extranjera con los estudiantes del grado octavo “A” de la Institución Educativa Escuela Normal Superior de Popayán en el año 2011.

Nuestro trabajo nace a partir de los intereses de los estudiantes que muestran en una entrevista realizada. Por esta razón decidimos trabajar con las canciones del género pop-rock en las clases de inglés para cambiar la metodología y estrategia en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje del inglés como lengua extranjera.

Los teóricos que soportan nuestro trabajo son David Ausubel con el “aprendizaje significativo”, Richards-Rogers y Jesús Alirio Bastidas con los diferentes métodos para la enseñanza del inglés y Krashen con la adquisición del inglés como lengua extranjera.

En conclusión nuestro trabajo de Práctica Pedagógica Investigativa es una buena tesis porque es novedosa y busca el cambio de las prácticas pedagógicas en el aula de clases de inglés.

A SONG: AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ENGLISH. A song an opportunity to learn English is the name of our Investigation of Pedagogical Practice work. This work consists in strengthen the listening and speaking skill with the use of the lyric content pop-rock song in the EFL learning with the 8th “A” grade students of the School Institution Normal Superior of Popayan in the 2011 year. Our work was born starting from the students´ interests that they show in an interview realized. For this reason we decided to work with the pop-rock song in the English-class and change the methodology and strategies in the EFL learning. The theorists that support our work are David Ausubel with “the meaningful learning”, Richards and Rogers and Jesus Alirio Bastidas with the different methods by the EFL and Krashen with the acquisition of the English as foreign language. In conclusion our Investigation of Pedagogical practice work is a good thesis because is newfangled and search to change the pedagogical practices into the English-classes.
