dc.description.abstract A SONG: AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ENGLISH. A song an opportunity to learn English is the name of our Investigation of Pedagogical Practice work. This work consists in strengthen the listening and speaking skill with the use of the lyric content pop-rock song in the EFL learning with the 8th “A” grade students of the School Institution Normal Superior of Popayan in the 2011 year. Our work was born starting from the students´ interests that they show in an interview realized. For this reason we decided to work with the pop-rock song in the English-class and change the methodology and strategies in the EFL learning. The theorists that support our work are David Ausubel with “the meaningful learning”, Richards and Rogers and Jesus Alirio Bastidas with the different methods by the EFL and Krashen with the acquisition of the English as foreign language. In conclusion our Investigation of Pedagogical practice work is a good thesis because is newfangled and search to change the pedagogical practices into the English-classes. en_US
