Las lecciones no aprendidas : La crisis económica actual comparada con la Gran Depresión del año de 1929

Abstract

A lo largo del Seminario de Finanzas Contemporáneas, se ha logrado abarcar el aprendizaje necesario para comprender y hacer esta propuesta formativa, al interpretar las crisis económicas acontecidas a finales de los años veinte y comienzos de los años treinta del siglo anterior con la crisis que se dio a comienzo del año de 2008 y siguientes; La crisis económica que se vivió en el año 2008 tiene circunstancias y eventos similares a la Crisis del año 1929 (Crack del 29 o Gran Depresión); sus causas, consecuencias e impactos en los sistemas económicos de su época fueron de gran trascendencia ya que dejaron huella en la historia de la humidad. El Crack del 29 fue la mayor burbuja de la historia, se puso de manifiesto los grandes riesgos de la especulación, llegando al punto de hacer tambalear el modelo capitalista de la época, pero casi un siglo después de ese Crack se repite una crisis igual o peor que también hizo mover los cimientos de la economía global; se habla de una crisis mundial, crisis del capitalismo, agonía del mercado, jaque al sistema bancario, de un mercado sin control que llevo a que estallara una burbuja especulativa semejante a la de 1929; repitiéndose muchos eventos que las hacen similares; por ejemplo la euforia con la cual se compraban acciones en la bolsa de Nueva York o la misma con la cual se compraban casas en Estados Unidos, todos llenos de “confianza” , sin pensar que nada malo pueda ocurrir y así poco a poco fue aumentando la burbuja, dentro de la fiebre por obtener ganancias fáciles, sin importar la forma como se consiga el capital para invertir y que al final se debe pagar a un alto costo por ello, olvidándose que la burbuja especulativa pude estallar, dejando consecuencias funestas para los compradores y la economía. Conocer e identificar las causas y consecuencias de estas crisis económicas, para entenderlas y compararlas y así lograr distinguir sus causas, consecuencias, diferencias y semejanzas para entender en que momento no se han aprendido las lecciones y no se repitan estos desplomes que afectan la economía de un país o de gran parte del mundo.
