Resumen:
Social Cartography a tool for characterizing and strengthening La Milagrosa High School student’s ninth degree citizenship in Popayán is a pedagogical intervention proposal focused on building social cartography for improving citizenship competencies grasping. Strategy methodological design is based on qualitative research approach tools, using a socio critical view from educational action research approach.
Methodological pathway aims to develop four phases: diagnostics, strategy design, implementation and, systematization and outcomes. Collecting information tools are questionnaires and social cartographies.
Conclusions stress relevance of contextual and appealing tools and strategies usage for promoting student’s empathy in order to they can grasp effectively topics such as citizenship build up, task very important in today society transformation. In addition, this proposal shows how innovation and contextual practices in the school can transform not only students but also teachers and society in general.
