Establecimiento de especies forestales estratégicas para la introducción natural de aves al humedal Chimán - Silvia. Cauca.

Abstract

Se trabajó en la construcción de un diseño paisajístico del área de influencia directa del humedal Chimán, en el municipio de Silvia, Cauca. Para ello se realizó un análisis de la configuración de las coberturas forestales existentes mediante observación directa y sobrevuelo con dron, donde se procesaron imágenes digitales. A partir del censo forestal se caracterizó la vegetación teniendo en cuenta índices y variables, de los 479 individuos censados en el área del humedal. Además con ayuda del inventario se describió la vegetación del remanente de bosque natural en el predio la Lupa, donde se registraron un total de 158 individuos. Con base en lo anterior se identificaron 35 especies forestales estratégicas que a través de su síndrome de dispersión (ornitocoria y ornitofilia), ofertan servicios (alimento, libación, percha, forraje o sitio de anidación) para las 13 aves interactuantes identificadas por avistamiento, facilitando la introducción natural de aves para el mejoramiento del paisaje. Para los árboles en conflicto según la zonificación, se delimitó el establecimiento de los árboles de porte alto a las zonas de diseño paisajístico. Registrando 107 árboles en la zona de recreación activa siendo la más afectada ya que a largo plazo, el crecimiento de esta vegetación limitará la movilidad y el tránsito de los visitantes. Los resultados de este proceso de investigación científica y de construcción participativa con la comunidad, constituyen la base técnica para las decisiones que buscan contribuir a la preservación, conservación y aporte al atractivo natural paisajístico del sitio.

Work was done on the construction of a landscape design for the area of direct influence of the Chimán wetland, in the municipality of Silvia, Cauca. For this, an analysis of the configuration of the existing forest cover was carried out through direct observation and overflight with a drone, where digital images were processed. Based on the forest census, the vegetation was characterized taking into account indices and variables of the 479 individuals registered in the wetland area. In addition, with the help of the inventory, the vegetation of the remnant of natural forest in the La Lupa property was described, where a total of 158 individuals were recorded. Based on the above, 35 strategic forest species were identified that through their dispersal syndrome (ornithochory and ornithophilia), offer services (food, libation, perch, forage or nesting site) for the 13 interacting birds identified by sighting, facilitating the natural introduction of birds for the improvement of the landscape. For the trees in conflict according to the established zoning, the establishment of tall trees was limited to the landscape design areas. Registering 107 trees in the active recreation area, being the most affected since in the long term, the growth of this vegetation will limit the mobility and transit of visitors. The results of this process of scientific research and participatory construction with the community constitute the technical basis for decisions that seek to contribute to the preservation, conservation, and contribution to the attractive natural landscape of the site.
