Frente a la importancia del cuidado del medio ambiente y la carencia de estudios de esta problemática en la zona del Cauca, se realizó el análisis de la huella ecológica de la finca “La Sultana”, entre el periodo de junio de 2016 a junio de 2017 con base a una caracterización general y posterior cálculo de la huella hídrica y de carbono en cada subsistema, obteniendo valores de 13.314 m3/año y 290.135 kg de CO2 eq., respectivamente, permitiendo generar alternativas de solución para cada uno.
