Estudio de factibilidad para instalación de una planta de extracción de aceite de higuerilla.

Abstract

El principal objetivo del presente trabajo es el desarrollo de un estudio de factibilidad para la puesta en marcha de una planta de extracción de aceite de higuerilla, para ello se realizaron algunas etapas importantes para el proyecto, entre ellas se tiene el estudio de mercado, el estudio técnico y financiero. Partiendo de un estudio de mercado del cual se concluyen muchos hechos entre los cuales se encuentran la gran demanda de aceite de higuerilla que existe en Colombia y los diferentes usos que se le puede dar a esta materia prima, por otra parte existe una gran demanda de aceite de ricino en países como Estados Unidos, con quienes existe una facilidad para la exportación. Otro hecho importante es que en la actualidad Colombia no cuenta con cultivos de Higuerilla a gran escala que permita suplir la necesidad de materia prima requerida para la producción de aceite a nivel industrial, lo cual restringe el procesamiento de aceite de higuerilla en Colombia. Sin embargo esto se podría compensar mediante el fortalecimiento y apoyo del cultivo. El estudio técnico evaluó los requerimientos para el procesamiento del aceite, la maquinaria necesaria, la localización de la planta y las necesidades de materia prima e insumos para el proceso. Los resultados del estudio financiero revelan que el proyecto para la extracción de aceite de higuerilla, se puede considerar viable, debido a que muchos de los indicadores financieros mostraron resultados favorables para la evaluación del proyecto, sin embargo existen factores que podrían afectar el normal desarrollo del mismo como la escasez de materia prima.

The main objective of this work is to develop a feasibility study for the establishment of a plant for extracting castor oil, for this purpose some important steps were made for the Project, these include market research, the technical and financial study. Based on a market study which concluded many facts among which are the high demand for castor oil that exists in Colombia and the different uses to which it can give to this raw material, on the other hand there is a great demand for castor oil in countries as the United States, with which there is a facility for export. Another important fact is that Colombia currently has not Castor crops large scale to meet the need of raw material required for castor oil production at industrial level, which restricts the processing of castor oil in Colombia. However this could be compensated by strengthening and crop support. The technical study evaluated the requirements for oil processing, the necessary machinery, plant location and the needs of raw materials and inputs for the process. The study results reveal that the project financial for the extraction of castor oil, can be considered feasible, because many the financial indicators showed favorable results for the evaluation of the project, however there are factors that could affect the normal development of the same, such as the shortage of raw material.
